A Twentynine Palms High School senior has been named as the 2016 Greenleaf Scholarship winner. Beayahn Carrllo was chosen out of a very competitive field to receive the prestigious scholarship that pays the Carrllo’s tuition, books, fees, and living expenses while a student at Copper Mountain College, and all of these expenses if he goes on to a four-year college for his baccalaureate degree. Beayahn Carrllo plans to go into law enforcement. An awards ceremony recognizing Beayahn Carrllo and five other finalists for the Greenleaf Scholarship will be held April 14 in the Bell Center of Copper Mountain College. The other finalists are Rebecca Arellano, Katherine Colby, Thomas Geiger, Adriann Miller, and Courtney Stanford.
