GOING BATTY AT HI-DESERT NATURE MUSEUM

The Hi-Desert Nature Museum’s Brown Bag Lunch tomorrow will expose some of the myths about bats, as well as share new information. Assignment reporter Corrisa Evans joins us from the bat cave…
Did you know that bats aren’t blind and most bats can see as well as humans? Rae Packard will be holding a lecture on bats as a part of the brown bag lunch lecture series. Rae then became an instructor at Bat World for four years. Rae’s presentation will share her own experience, as well as rarely seen photographs of bat rehabilitation, bat colonies and different bat species. She will also share new information about White Nose Syndrome and its effect on the migrating bats through the Morongo Basin. The presentation will be on Thursday, August 9, starting at noon; admission is free and iced tea will be served.
