FREE FOOD DISTRIBUTION IN SOME LOCATIONS THIS WEEK

Some areas of the Morongo Basin will receive distributions of surplus federal food on dates other than the regular second Monday.  Reporter Dan Stork has the times and places… The Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino will distribute surplus food to low-income residents of the Morongo Basin.  The locations and times are: Pacific Clinics, 56020 Santa Fe Trail, in Yucca Valley, on Wednesday January 8, from 3 to 5 p.m.; the Waystation, 61722 Commercial   Street in Joshua Tree, on Friday January 10, from 9 to noon; the American Food Bank, 55922 Twentynine Palms Highway in Yucca Valley, on Tuesday January 28, from 11 to 1. Recipients are requested to bring their own paper or plastic bags. The Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino is a private, non-profit organization that seeks to serve the low-income families, elderly, disadvantaged and homeless of the county.
