A distribution of free USDA surplus food will be held today (Tuesday, March 17) at Copper Mountain Mesa Community Center from 9 to 11 a.m. Residents should bring at least two shopping bags or sturdy boxes to carry groceries. Food recipients self-certify on site that they are low-income and in need of food assistance. The Copper Mountain Mesa Community Center is located at 65336 Winters Road in Joshua Tree.
