FOUR ARRESTS: TWO FOR A STOLEN CAR, TWO FOR WEAPONS

Two Joshua Tree men were arrested early Sunday morning, accused of being in possession of a stolen car. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy stopped a tan Acura just after midnight Sunday morning near Cherokee Trail and Highway 62 in Yucca Valley for not having a license plate. A records check of the car found that it had been reported stolen. The driver, Robert Ramirez, 27, and passenger, Chad Emanuel, 26, were arrested for investigation of possession of stolen property. Robert Ramirez and Chad Emanuel were booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with their bail set at $50,000 each.
 
A Twentynine Palms woman was arrested early Sunday morning, accused of being a felon in possession of pepper spray. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy stopped a Honda about 4 a.m. near Baseline Road and Desert Knoll Avenue for not having a working brake light. Inside the vehicle was Eileen Espinoza, 33, who is a convicted felon. During a search, the deputy found a spray can of pepper spray. Eileen Espinoza was arrested for investigation of being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with her bail set at $25,000.
 
A Joshua Tree woman was arrested early Sunday morning, accused of being in possession of a dangerous weapon. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy stopped at 2016 Honda just after midnight. Inside the vehicle was Ondria Gomez, 33. During a search of the vehicle, the deputy found an unspecified weapon. Ondria Gomez was arrested on suspicion of possession of a dangerous weapon, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with her bail set at $25,000.
