Four people were arrested in separate incidents over the weekend, all accused of felony spouse abuse. About 10 p.m. Friday, deputies were called to the 6600 block of Rose Ellen Avenue in Twentynine Palms. According to a Sheriff’s report, Josiah Frazier, 30, was arguing with his fiancée when he allegedly grabbed her by her shoulders, shoved her onto the bed, and punched her in the face. The victim suffered a scratch on her chest and a laceration to her nose. Deputies say Josiah Frazier admitted to shoving her but denied punching her.

Then about 11:15 p.m. Saturday, deputies were called to the 64600 block of Sonora Road in Joshua Tree for a disturbance. Nichole Hernandez, 33, recently broke up with her girlfriend and went to her home to try and work things out, but they started arguing. The victim told deputies that Nichole Hernandez caused several injuries, including four large bumps to her head and above her left eye, lacerations on both knees, and a large bruise on her lower back.

About an hour later, a Twentynine Palms man is accused of knocking out his girlfriend’s tooth because he was upset her phone lit up in the middle of the night. According to a Sheriff’s report, Jerome Williams, 32, woke up about 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning at his home in the 73700 block of Serrano Drive, and when his girlfriend’s phone lit up, he began arguing with her. The woman told deputies that Jerome Williams struck her in the face, knocking out a tooth.

And finally, we have limited information about Julius Sloan, 38, of Twentynine Palms, who was arrested early Sunday morning, accused of spouse abuse. Deputies contacted Julius Sloan when they were called to the 6300 block of Mojave Avenue in Twentynine Palms about 4:10 a.m.

After an investigation, Josiah Frazier, Nichole Hernandez, Jerome Williams, and Julius Sloan were all arrested on suspicion of felony spouse abuse, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with their bail set at $50,000 each.
