FOOD FOR LIFE SERVING TOMORROW, LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS FOR HOLIDAY MEALS

On Saturday, October 21, Food For Life will be serving a meal of chili dogs. This meal will be prepared by the Apostolic Lighthouse Church. They serve from the Church of the Nazarene in Twentynine Palms from 3 to 5 p.m. Look for the sign off the highway.

Plans are underway for Food-For-Lifeā€™s holiday meals. Thanksgiving will consist of a full turkey dinner served at First Baptist Church on Split Rock. The meal will be served from 1 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, November 23.

Christmas dinner will be served from 1 to 4 at Palms Baptist Church on Adobe Road on Saturday, December 23. This meal will be a full ham dinner. Santa will be available to talk with children and toys will be given out. Bring your camera to catch a photo of your child with Santa. A clown will be there to entertain children also. There will be a clothing give away taking place here also.

Both these events will need volunteers to help set up, cook, deliver meals to shut-ins, serve, and break down. If you are interested in joining them on either day, please call Teresa Brown at 562-324-9099 to schedule a 2-hour slot of time.
