FIREWORKS PLANNED IN YUCCA VALLEY AND TWENTYNINE PALMS

This is the last year the Rotary Club of Yucca Valley plans to sponsor the annual Fourth of July fireworks show in Yucca Valley, before passing the torch to another organization to carry on the tradition. Managing editor Tami Roleff says the club plans to go out with a bangā€¦

The Yucca Valley Fourth of July fireworks show, sponsored by Yucca Valley Rotary Club, is more than just fireworks. Besides music, dancing, vendor booths, refreshments, static displays of tanks and other equipment by the Marine Corps, are bounce houses for different age groups of kids, and face painting by Miss Yucca Valley and her court. Gates open at the Brehm Sports Park at 6 p.m. and the firework show begins at 9 p.m., with Z107.7ā€™s Jessica Jean emceeing the event. Admission is free, although donations will be accepted. No outside food and drink will be permitted. Vendor applications are still being accepted; call 760-365-1988.

The City of Twentynine Palms invites everyone out to attend their annual Fourth of July celebration in Luckie Park. Admission is free and activities will include a display of military vehicles, a bounce house, live music, food vendors, the Z107.7 Mobile DJ, and the largest display of fireworks in the Morongo Basin. There will also be water slides set up for ages 10 and under. The event starts at 4:00 p.m. Luckie Park swimming pool will be open all day until 8:30 p.m. Live music by Southbound will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The grand finale firework show will be put on by Pyro Spectacular at 9:00 p.m. Bring a blanket, lawn chairs, family, and friends for a fun day celebrating the birth of our nation.
