A convicted felon was arrested Saturday after a can of mace was found in her possession. According to the Sheriff’s Department, a deputy stopped Christle Hubert, 37, of Joshua Tree, on Highway 62 and Bonair Road Saturday about 9:30 p.m. Hubert admitted she had a drug paraphernalia in her possession that she used for methamphetamine. Hubert was arrested and taken to the Morongo Basin Jail, where a deputy discovered a can of pink pepper spray inside her back pack. As a convicted felon, Hubert is prohibited from owning tear gas. Christle Hubert was arrested for investigation of possession of tear gas, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with her bail set at $25,000.
