One person was killed in an early morning fatal crash in Yucca Valley . According to early reports the traffic collision occurred at about 3:30 this morning at State Route 62 and sage. Witnesses said the male rider was going east on the highway, missed the turn at Sage and hit the curb. The motorcycle went airborne, and the rider, identified only as a Marine, was thrown from the bike. The rider was transported to Desert Regional Medical center where he was pronounced dead. The coroner has not yet released the rider’s identity pending notification of next of kin.
