Theatre 29 presents select numbers from “Urinetown the Musical,” playing on the post-apocalyptic themes of the Big Read novel “Station Eleven.” “Urinetown the Musical” is a satirical comedy. Set in a dreary city where low-class citizens are negatively affected by a world-wide water shortage, residents face pay-per-use public bathrooms and the jailing of unsanitary offenders. The full production of the musical was produced a few years back at Theatre 29 and many of the original cast members are reuniting for this performance, along with director Gary Daigneault. Tickets to this event are free of charge, no reservations required. Seating will be on a first come, first served basis. Show times are Saturday, September 21, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, September 22, at 2:30 p.m. at Theatre 29 on Sullivan Road in Twentynine Palms.
