The Sheriff’s Department is investigating a case of stolen dynamite in Joshua Tree. About 2 p.m. Saturday, deputies were called to the 1400 block of Mount Shasta Avenue where the resident said that sometime in the last four months, someone located spare keys to a storage container on the property. The unknown burglar removed five or six sticks of dynamite, seven liquid bottles, and about 30 blasting caps. Deputies from the Sheriff’s Bombs and Arson division are investigating the theft.
