DUI SUSPECTED IN YUCCA VALLEY CRASH THAT INJURED THREE

This story was updated 10 a.m. Dec. 30, due to additional information received from the Sheriff’s Dept.

Due to additional information received from the Sheriff’s Department, Z107.7 has this correction to a story we aired Tuesday about a Yucca Valley crash. According to the updated Sheriff’s report, Daniel Hogue, 22, was driving a red 2005 Scion when he entered an uncontrolled intersection at Sioux Avenue and Sunland Drive in Yucca Valley about 12:30 p.m. Sunday. Also entering the intersection was a black Ford Ranger, whose driver has not been identified. Witnesses said the truck may have been speeding when it collided with Hogue’s Scion. The truck ended up on its roof. Two of the passengers from Hogue’s vehicle were taken to area hospitals for head injuries and lacerations from the crash. The revised Sheriff’s report does not indicate who was at fault in the crash. While Daniel Hogue was initially arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence, he was released from jail early Tuesday morning and the charges were dropped.
