Local CHP and Sheriff’s deputies will be on maximum DUI enforcement this weekend. The Fourth of July is one of the deadliest holidays of the year due to alcohol-impaired driving crashes. The state’s DUI task force is stepping up enforcement efforts to catch and arrest impaired drivers who put themselves and others at risk. The Sheriff will staff extra DUI units through Saturday. Remember, if you drink, don’t drive.
