DRIVER ARRESTED FOLLOWING ROLL-OVER CRASH IN TWENTYNINE PALMS

The driver of a vehicle involved in a roll-over crash in Twentynine Palms was arrested Wednesday morning. According to a Sheriff’s report, the driver, who was not identified, was traveling westbound on Highway 62 about 8:20 a.m. when for unknown reasons, he lost control of the SUV near Mantonya Road. The SUV left the road, hit a telephone pole on the north side of the highway, and ended up in the desert on its side. The driver and two passengers were taken to Hi-Desert Medical Center, where the driver was cited and released for possession of a controlled substance. The crash caused a power outage in parts of Twentynine Palms.
