A drive-by birthday celebration ended with an arrest for assault Monday afternoon. According to a Sheriff’s report, friends were driving by a home in the 49600 block of Recuerdo Lane in Morongo Valley to help celebrate a birthday about 3:30 p.m. The victim told deputies that Jaime Reynolds, 39, became enraged when she parked in front of Reynolds’ house. She said Reynolds threw a pair of rusty garden shears at her vehicle and hit her in the shoulder. Jaime Reynolds was arrested for investigation of assault, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with her bail set at $50,000.
