DISTRICT ATTORNEY TO REVIEW CHARGES OF RECKLESS DRIVING, HIT-AND-RUN DURING YUCCA VALLEY PROTEST

The District Attorney’s office will review a case of reckless driving and hit-and-run during the Women’s March protest in Yucca Valley Saturday. According to a Sheriff’s report, Chris Kallgren of Yucca Valley was standing near the curb on Highway 62 near Old Woman Springs Road about 11 a.m. holding a sign when she says she was hit in the hand by the passenger-side mirror of a van, being driven westbound by Glen Goslaw, 71, of Landers. Goslaw turned north on Old Woman Springs Road, and then eastbound onto the frontage road and stopped near the protesters. Neither Kallgren, Goslaw, or his passenger approached each other. After a few minutes, Goslaw drove off. Although Kallgren had no visible injuries, she complained of pain to her hand, but denied medical attention. Deputies located Goslaw near Old Woman Springs Road and Moonstone Road in Yucca Valley. Goslaw told deputies that the protesters were hitting his van and he was unaware his van’s mirror had hit Kallgren. Chris Kallgren requested charges of reckless driving and hit-and-run be filed against Glen Goslaw. The case has been forwarded to the District Attorney’s office for review.
