DISPUTE OVER DOGS RESULTS IN TWENTYNINE PALMS ARREST

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Saturday following a dispute with his neighbors over the neighbor’s dogs. According to a Sheriff’s report, dogs belonging to a resident in the 5500 block of Mariposa Avenue got out about 5:30 p.m. The owner and his brother tried to catch the dogs when Mark Richardson, 57, started yelling at them, and then went into his house and got a cane. One of the men said that Richardson then hit him on the head with his cane, before taking off on a 3-wheel custom motorcycle toward 2 Mile Road. Deputies located Mark Richardson and arrested him for investigation of assault with a weapon, booked him into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
