Sheriff’s detectives are investigating an armed robbery at a Yucca Valley convenience store Tuesday evening. Just after 7 p.m., the two male suspects, armed with a handgun, entered the store in the 55900 block of 29 Palms Highway and demanded money from the safe and cash register. The suspects fired a round from the gun and the clerks and the suspects struggled. Neither the clerks nor the suspects were struck by the bullet and no one was injured. The two suspects then fled in a vehicle. Anyone with information should call the Sheriff’s Department at 760-366-4175.
