Join the Twentynine Palms Chamber of Commerce and Joshua Tree National Park Council for the Arts as they celebrate the 20th anniversary of the California Desert Protection Act. On Saturday, November 15, from 5 to 10 p.m., there will be an eventful evening of a desert sky dinner and dancing at Smith’s Ranch with Southwestern fare, wine/beer and margarita bar, country music and dancing. Meet VIPs and special guests like Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent David Smith and keynote speaker Dr. Bruce Pavlik, author of “The California Deserts: An Ecological Rediscovery.” Enjoy stargazing on the patio with Coyote Telescope. Social hour is from 5 to 6 p.m. and dinner is at 6 p.m. Tickets are $25 for individuals, $40 for a couple, and $150 for a table of 8. For more information, or to purchase tickets, call 760-367-3445.
