DESERT HOT SPRINGS MAN ARRESTED FOR BEATING GIRLFRIEND IN CAR IN TWENTYNINE PALMS

A Desert Hot Springs man was arrested Wednesday morning, after his girlfriend told police he beat her up. According to a Sheriff’s report, Wallie Andrews, 42, was driving to Utah with his girlfriend when he started beating her in the car near Adobe Road and Smith’s Ranch Road in Twentynine Palms about 8:30 a.m. The woman told police Andrews had beat her in the car and her face was swollen and bleeding, and that after the beating, Andrews left the vehicle to go to Adobe Liquor Store where he was later arrested for investigation of felony spouse abuse and possession of hashish. Wallie Andrews was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
