COUNTY TO HOLD TWO RENEWABLE ENERGY MEETINGS

The Desert Renewable Energy Conservation Plan is about the siting of renewable energy projects in seven southern California counties. On February 10 at 2 p.m.,  the Board of Supervisors will conduct a special meeting to consider staff’s recommendation for the County’s proposed response to the Desert Renewable Energy Conservation Plan. Those responses can be viewed at a link in this story at z1077fm.com:

Public comment on DRECP is being accepted by the state and federal governments through February 23.
County Land Use staff will conduct a listening session on plans for the County General Plan renewable energy element on March 5, from 2 to 4 p.m. This session was rescheduled from February 19, due to requests for additional time from community organizations.
Both meetings will be held in the Board of Supervisors Covington Chambers in San Bernardino, with opportunities for video conference testimony from both the Hesperia and Joshua Tree county government centers.
