COUNTY SUPERVISORS MOVE MORONGO BASIN BUSINESS FORWARD YESTERDAY

Yesterday in San Bernardino, county supervisors moved forward several items specific to our Morongo Basin and voted to send a proposed new county charter to voters in the November 3 election. Reporter Mike Lipsitz is here with details…

Supervisors will look to county voters to approve the ballot measure entitled, “The San Bernardino County Supervisor Compensation Reduction and Term Limits Initiative.” In the coming days, Z107.7 News will review each element of the proposed new County Charter in detail.

In other business, the board declared a vacancy on the Twentynine Palms Cemetery District for the remaining four-year term of Robert Stump expiring January 2024. Stump began his term just six months ago.

Supervisors also extended for five years a $3.7 million lease agreement for 25,000 square feet of office space on Pima Trail in Yucca Valley for the county’s Transitional Assistance Department and the Department of Aging and Adult Services to provide their services in our Morongo Basin.
