COPPER MOUNTAIN COLLEGE BOARD MEETS TODAY

Following a 2:30 p.m. closed session on potential litigation, the Copper Mountain College Board of Trustees meet in a virtual open session at 3 p.m. today (April 8, 2021). Reporter Mike Lipsitz has highlights from the agenda…

In conjunction with the Copper Mountain College 20th anniversary celebration, today’s agenda sets aside time to honor the contributions of Jim Pulliam. Pulliam served as a faculty member, dean, provost and founding superintendent/president of the college district where he established a collaborative environment with faculty and staff. Also today, the district is expected to engage Schneider Electric for a renewable energy effort. Plans call for CMC to make use of funds gifted by the late Susan Luckie Reilly, plus Bell funds and federal money to construct a solar carport structure, install electric vehicle charging stations, replace old HVAC equipment and parking area lighting systems, and to develop a recycling program at a total cost of $1,185,000 with an estimated return on investment of eight years.
