The Community Emergency Response Team is once again sponsoring the Community Disaster Preparedness Day, Saturday, October 19, as part of the Great California Shake-Out. Free information and live demonstrations will be going on from 9 to 2, in the Walmart parking lot in Yucca Valley. SoCal Edison and the county fire and sheriff’s departments will also be on hand. Learn about basic first aid, disaster supplies and kits, food storage and solar cooking, survival skills, animal care, water purification and storage, and resources and deployment.
