A group of Joshua Tree residents are looking for musicians interested in starting a community rehearsal jazz band based in Joshua Tree. They are particularly seeking interested saxophone, trumpet, trombone and rhythm section players. A spokesperson said they will be working on a variety of material from big band arrangements to more contemporary jazz arrangements. Any age and skill level welcome. This is a great opportunity to develop your improvisation and sight reading skills. They plan on meeting weekly and performing periodically.
