COMBINED ROTARY CLUBS FOOD DRIVE CALLED “SUCCESSFUL AND PRODUCTIVE”

The annual Morongo Basin combined Rotary Clubs food drive Friday was very successful and productive, according to organizers. The Twentynine Palms, Joshua Tree, Yucca Valley Noon and Yucca Valley Sunset Rotary Clubs manned booths at all of the local Stater Brothers markets during the day, accepting donations of food and cash for local food banks. They distributed a list of the most needed non-perishable food to shoppers who would graciously pick up an item or two while doing their own shopping.  At the end of the day, over 325 full bags of food plus odds and ends, were collected, along with a good amount of cash.
