COMBAT CENTER POWER OUTAGE

The Combat Center will have another power outage Monday. The power outage will begin at 8:30 Monday night and is scheduled to last until 6:30 a.m. However, Southern California Edison warns that its work may not be completed by 6:30 a.m., and so all base personnel and residents on the base should be prepared to be without power for more than 10 hours. During the outage, critical and emergency essential facilities will receive power from the Co-generation plant or emergency generators. To facilitate this, Public Works will be placing mobile generators at key facilities off the co-generation grid starting at 1:00 p.m. on 23 January. At 3:00 p.m., power to non-essential facilities in the core area of the base (generally from 1st street to 9th street) will start to be shut down and will remain without power for the duration of the outage.
