CIRCLE K STORES ROBBED IN YUCCA VALLEY AND MORONGO VALLEY

Two Circle K convenience stores were robbed about an hour apart early Saturday morning, possibly by the same two juveniles. According to Sheriff’s reports, two male juveniles entered the Circle K in the 49500 block of 29 Palms Highway in Morongo Valley about 3:15 a.m. The clerk recognized at least one of the boys as a thief who had stolen from the store multiple times in the past. The boys stole multiple boxes of vape pens and fled the store. Then, about an hour later, two juveniles entered the Circle K store in the 6900 block of Old Woman Springs Road in Yucca Valley. The clerk attempted to block access to behind the counter, but one of the boys allegedly grabbed the clerk by the throat and pushed him to the side, causing redness to the clerk’s neck. The thieves then grabbed several cigar packages and electronic cigarettes, before fleeing the store. Anyone with information about either robbery should call the Sheriff’s Department at 760-366-4175.
