A gospel music choir competition is set for September, and organizers are looking for choirs to participate. Each choir will perform, and then a collection will be taken from those in the audience. The choir that raises the most money will be declared the winner. Proceeds from the collection will benefit the local neighbors-helping-neighbors charity, Reach Out Morongo Basin. The festival is set for 4 p.m. Saturday, September 16, at Palms Baptist Church, 5285 Adobe Road in Twentynine Palms.
