CHILD PORNOGRAPHER, FORMER SCHOOL CUSTODIAN, SENTENCED

A former Twentynine Palms Junior High School custodian was sentenced to 23 years in federal prison on Friday. Matthew Frazer, 43, of Yucca Valley, had pleaded guilty in July to one felony count each of distribution of child pornography and possession of child pornography. Frazer was arrested in January following a year-long investigation by the FBI. In 2013, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children gave the FBI a series of pornographic images depicting a young girl being abused by a man, whom the FBI eventually identified as Frazer. In a plea agreement, Matthew Frazer admitted filming sexually explicit images of the young girl between 2008 and 2012. He also admitted to making a video in October 2009, when the victim was 6 years old, and again the following year when she was 7, and uploading the videos to the Internet. According to court documents, the images have been found in the possession of more than 250 people who collect child pornography.
