CASA LADERA ON REACH OUT’S PARADE OF HOMES TOUR

All six homes have been selected for Reach Out Morongo Basin’s February 18 Parade of Homes tour. For 14 years, this fundraiser has paid for services to local seniors and disabled residents. Today we continue our preview returning to Twentynine Palms. Here’s Mike Lipsitz with an inside look at another standout residence featured on the tour …
The Parade of Homes is a self-guided tour of six remarkable residences. Today we are back in Twentynine Palms at Casa Ladera, the home of Wilson Camp. One of the original historic adobe homes of Twentynine Palms, Casa Ladera was built in the 1930’s by the pioneering Trigg family. Sited on just over six acres, this hilltop home offers outstanding views of Joshua Tree National Park and the Morongo Basin. The living room features 14-foot open beam ceilings that were part of the builder’s passive solar design. The main quarters are original adobe with an addition that was incorporated in the adobe style. Art deco furnishings reflect Camp’s fondness of that period, art, and gracious living. Tickets are $25 and include tour of all six homes plus live entertainment and lunch at the Park Rock Cafe in Joshua Tree.

Parade of Homes tickets are now on sale at Reach Out Morongo Basin, the Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms chambers of commerce, The Desert Trail, Z107.7 studios in Joshua Tree and at other locations throughout our Morongo Basin.
