BURGLARY SUSPECT TAKES SHOWER IN MORONGO VALLEY HOME

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating an attempted burglary in Morongo Valley in which the woman took a shower in the home before gathering together items to steal. About 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, a homeowner in the 52200 block of Canyon Road said she was chatting with her next-door neighbor when she noticed her front door was wide open. When she went inside her home, she realized an unknown woman had taken a shower, and then began to gather items together in preparation of stealing them. The suspect, whom the victim believed was high on drugs, then went out into the back yard. Sheriff’s deputies eventually located Kristina Lewellyn, 44, of Yucca Valley. Kristina Lewellyn was arrested for investigation of burglary, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with her bail set at $75,000.
