MAN’S BODY DISCOVERED IN PIPE’S CANYON WASH

BODY OF MAN MISSING SINCE 4TH OF JULY DISCOVERED IN PIPES CANYON WASH

The remains of a man were discovered in the desert Wednesday, 11 days after a man went missing in Landers. According to officials, Andrew Salazar’s girlfriend dropped him off at the Hero Market on Old Woman Springs Road about 6 p.m. July 4. About a half hour later, residents in the 55900 block of Boo Lane reported that someone had stolen a pick up truck. Shortly after, the truck was found with the keys still in the ignition. Salazar’s family reported him missing to the Sheriff’s Department July 9. On Wednesday, July 15, a friend of Salazar went searching for him, starting from where the truck had been found, and found a body in a remote wash area west of Old Woman Springs Road and north of Napa Road. Due to the state of the body, the identity has not yet been confirmed. Homicide officials have been called in to investigate.

Would have been really convenient if the “officials” would have been the ones who followed the tracks from the stolen truck.. the day it was found (well around 30 minutes later)!!!… it would not be so hard to confirm the body, that has been in the scorching sun for 11 days…or possibly, the there would not even be a “body” laying in the wash.
