Time Warner Cable recently began expanding its Wi-Fi network in Yucca Valley. Boxes with bright blue and green LED lights hanging from power lines are visible to westbound traffic, starting at about Prescott Avenue to Sage Avenue. The expansion began in the Coachella Valley in December and is spreading throughout the area. The WiFi expansion provides free Internet hotspots to Time Warner Standard and business customers, and for a charge to non-customers.
