BIRD SINGING AND DANCE AT COPPER MOUNTAIN COLLEGE TOMORROW

The public is invited to join about 700 fourth graders tomorrow (Friday, April 1) to participate in a free Native American bird singing and dance performance. The event is part of the Sand to Stone: Contemporary Native American Art in Joshua Tree, an art project sponsored by the Twentynine Palms Art Gallery and Joshua Tree National Park. The art project highlights contemporary Native American artists from tribes with cultural ties to Joshua Tree National Park. Participants at the bird singing and dance will learn the history and traditions of bird songs, as well as be able to take part in the event. The bird singing will be held at Copper Mountain College from 10 to 11:30 a.m. For more information, visit sandtostone.org.
