BI-LINGUAL LITERACY TUTOR NEEDED TO HELP TRANSLATE MEMOIR

Do you know someone who is good at reading and writing both Spanish and English and who would like to help move a literacy student’s project along? The Morongo Basin Coalition for Adult Literacy needs someone to help a native Spanish speaker translate his memoir into English. The memoir centers around an accident that left the literacy student a quadriplegic at the age of 18. The man lives at the Continuing Care Center in Joshua Tree and has written the memoir using a “mouthstick” on a special computer keyboard. The translator should be comfortable with Mexican vernacular Spanish and have a command of both Spanish and English composition. Collaboration on the project can be done electronically or in person.
