BALLOTS ARRIVING IN MAIL BOXES FOR NOVEMBER ELECTIONS

Some Morongo Basin residents can expect to start receiving their mail ballots for the November election. The Yucca Valley airport district, Morongo Valley Community Services District, and Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency district will be holding elections November 3. Running for the Yucca Valley airport are Timothy Lewis and and Irvin Craig; There are four Morongo Valley CSD candidates running for two seats: Matthew Campos, Johnny Tolbert, Jennifer Liebertz, and Linda Bailey. And three candidates are running for two seats on the Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency: Michael McBride, Larry Coloumbe, and David Riley Ray. Voter information guides were mailed to eligible voters last week. Early voting for this election began October 5. Completed mail ballots may be returned by the U.S. Mail, in person to any polling place on election day, or at a ballot drop-off location. (Find locations at sbcountyelections.com). Voters can sign up for a mail-in ballot by filling out the application on the back of their voter information guide.
