A strong dancer is needed for the Jitter Bug character.

An ensemble of six male and six females from 12 to 18+ will play talking trees, Munchkins and Flying Monkeys. Come dressed to move and expect to read from provided scripts and be prepared to sing approximately one minute of a Broadway or Disney song.

Please bring a CD, portable music player, or cell phone with the background track for your audition song. “The Wizard of Oz” will rehearse weekday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m. through March 1. The show runs weekends March 2-25 with a possible holdover to April 1. For tickets visit theatre29.org or call the Theatre 29 Box Office at 760-361-4151.

Bring known conflicts to auditions for the period January 16 through April 1, in case of a holdover weekend. No a capella singing please, and no songs from “The Wizard of Oz.” Cast members do not have to be the actual ages of the characters, but must be able to look age appropriate and act accordingly. If you have roles in mind, please indicate them on your audition form. If you do not, you will be automatically considered for all roles. Some children will be cast, be sure they are fully prepared for the audition process. For more information or questions contact the director at z1077fm@gmail.com.
