Auditions have been set for Theatre 29’s first production of the 2014 season, “The Importance of Being Earnest.” This classic comedy by Oscar Wilde will be directed by Theatre 29 veteran Butch Pelfry. Auditions will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, November 17, at Theatre 29, 73637 Sullivan Road in Twentynine Palms. Pelfry needs five men and four women between the ages of 20 and 60. “The Importance of Being Earnest” will run weekends January 10 through February 8, with Sunday matinees January 19 and February 2. Pelfry also needs volunteers for set construction, props, stagehands, costuming, and other non-performing positions; anyone interested should also come to the auditions.
