ASSAULT GIVES MAN POSSIBLE FRACTURED SKULL

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Thursday, accused of hitting another man in the head. According to a Sheriff’s report, the victim was in the 7100 block of Wall Street in Yucca Valley shortly before 3 p.m. when he got into an argument with Ricky Sweetin, 61. The victim told deputies that Sweetin struck him with a bar and punched and kicked him several times. The report states that Sweetin admitted to fighting with the victim, but denied hitting him with a bar. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of possible skull fractures. Ricky Sweetin was arrested for investigation of assault with a weapon, booked at the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $50,000.
