Tomorrow is Second Saturday in Joshua Tree. Gallery 62 in Joshua Tree will hold an opening reception Saturday during the Second Saturday Art Crawl. The exhibition, “Summer Heat,” is a group show featuring 18 artists, including Brian Baltzar, Penelope Benson-Wright, Tracy Roberts, Jesse Rodriguez, Miguel Criado, Chery Kandel, Jaymie Arquilevich, and Peggy Lewis-Toney, and runs through August 28. The reception will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the gallery, 61607 29 Palms Highway, Suite H, behind JTAG in downtown Joshua Tree. The gallery is open Fridays 2 to 5 p.m.; Saturdays 10 to 3; and Sundays 12 to 3 p.m.
It’s Second Saturday Jazz in Joshua Tree this Saturday, August 13. A jazz band will be playing under the stars in the Zanndelions Boutique courtyard, 61877 29 Palms Highway (behind the bottle fence). The music plays from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. There will be a no host bar and munchies.
