The Sheriff’s Department is investigating a case of vehicle arson in Twentynine Palms Tuesday. Firefighters were called to the area of Smoke Tree Avenue and Joshua Drive at 12:37 for a vehicle that was fully involved in flames. The fire was extinguished in about five minutes. After the fire was out, deputies discovered the car did not have an engine or anything else that could have caused the fire to start on its own. Anyone with information should call the 760-366-4175.
