ARREST MADE IN CASE OF BODY FOUND SUNDAY IN PIONEERTOWN

A 23-year-old man was arrested late last night, accused of murdering a Yucca Valley man and leaving his body in a parked car in Pioneertown. About 9:15 p.m. Thursday night, Sheriff’s deputies went to the 7100 block of Barberry Avenue in Yucca Valley with a search warrant. After an investigation, Tyler Cabello was arrested on suspicion of murdering Charles Brown, 63, of Yucca Valley. About 9 a.m. Sunday, August 6, authorities were called to the area of Skyline Ranch Road and Pioneertown Road for a body that was found inside a parked red Nissan car. Detectives were told the car had been there for a couple of days.  According to the Sheriff’s Department, Cabello had been dating Brown’s daughter, and may have killed him for financial reasons. Brown’s daughter is not believed to have been involved in the murder. Tyler Cabello was arrested for investigation of murder, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, and is being held without bail.
