AN ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY IN JOSHUA TREE

The Sheriff’s Department is investigating an attempted armed robbery at a Joshua Tree fast-food restaurant early Wednesday morning. At 5:18, a man, identified only as a Hispanic adult male armed with a gun, came into Santana’s Restaurant and tried to kick in the kitchen door. When the employee heard the noise, he ran to the back office. As he was running, he turned around and saw the suspected robber had a gun pointed at him. The suspect then left the restaurant and got into a vehicle and drove off.
