A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Wednesday, accused of robbing two women at gunpoint. According to a Sheriff’s report, the women went to a home in the 72300 block of Sun Valley in Twentynine Palms to buy baby clothes. After buying the clothes, they stopped a few doors down to look at them when Darren Tolbert, 34, allegedly walked up to their car about 7:30 p.m. and pointed a gun at them and demanded all their property. After an investigation, Darren Tolbert was arrested on suspicion of armed robbery, and for a no-bail warrant for spouse abuse, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $100,000.
