At least seven people were cited in Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms Thursday, accused of purchasing alcohol for or selling it to minors. During a shoulder tap sting operation, minors, under the supervision of Sheriff’s deputies, asked strangers to buy them alcohol for them. Deputies made three citations at Highway 62 and Ocotillo in Twentynine Palms. In Yucca Valley, citations were given at Santa Fe Trail and the highway, Kickapoo Trail and Onaga Trail, and in the 58100 and 56200 blocks of 29 Palms Highway. Those arrested were cited and released.
