Two events at are slated at Rainbow Stew in Yucca Valley, (55509 29 Palms Highway, across from Dollar General) in Yucca Valley this Saturday, Jan. 28. First, at 2 p.m., Charla Shamhart, herbalist and nutritional consultant, will offer a health talk, “Iodine, Why You Need It, Why You Can’t Live Without It.” If you want to learn how to reduce chances of disease, cancer, if you are tired, overweight, want your child to have a higher IQ, or take thyroid hormones, you especially need to hear this iodine talk. Then at 4 p.m., Bill-Michael Shamhart and Angela Rainstar will host the Yucca Valley flute circle, which focuses on the Native American wooden flute. It is not necessary to know how to play the flute or even to read music to come and participate. All levels from beginners to experienced flute players are welcome.
