One man was injured during a stabbing Friday night in Yucca Valley. Sheriff’s reports say Tranh Stringfield, 42, was arguing with Kyle Schmidt, 26, in the 58700 block of Barron Drive about 8:50 p.m. when Stringfield grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stabbed Schmidt two times in the left side. Schmidt’s girlfriend and her mother drove him to Hi-Desert Medical Center for treatment. Tranh Stringfield was arrested early Saturday morning for investigation of assault with a deadly weapon. He was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
