A RASH OF BURGLARIES IN JOSHUA TREE

Deputies are investigating several burglaries in Joshua Tree from over the weekend. A resident in the 61500 block of Onaga Trail reported Thursday that sometime in the past week, someone broke in and stole jewelry; the owner located a bracelet in a pawn shop. A realtor also reported Thursday that someone broke into the office and took the keys to a vacant home for sale in Joshua Tree and stole a brand new GE front-loading washer and dryer. On Friday, a resident reported that someone had broken into a home in the 62000 block of Desertair Road in Joshua Tree and stole a 36-inch Samsung TV and an aluminum dolly. And on Saturday, an employee at a business in the 6200 block of Park Boulevard reported that someone cut through the business’s chain link fence and stole copper and a wheelbarrow. Anyone with information on any of these thefts should call the Sheriff’s Department at 760-366-4175.
